NEWS: Exhibition, June Street 1973

Now showing in Church of the Apostle, Miles Platting, Manchester.

Daniel Meadows and Martin Parr are exhibiting their June Street photographs from 1973 in a church hall in Miles Platting, Manchester.  June Street, a road in Salford of just twenty houses, was awaiting demolition and the families who lived there posed for the photographers, who were then final year students at Manchester Polytechnic (now Manchester Metropolitan University), in their front rooms.

The exhibition forms part of the nationwide Jo Cox memorial celebrations 'more in common' and was conceived and facilitated by current Manchester Met. student, David Jones.
